As per question, After three installment, amount of money remain to pay is same
so, 200000-3*x=410000-3*y
so 3*(y-x)= 21000
From the given option only Y= 80000 and x10000 is meeting this criterion.

This TPA question (and others like it) can be solved with minimal calculations using reasoning. Before you go to the answer choices, make sure you understand the relationship between the two choices.

We know that in 3 years the outstanding loan amounts will be equal. Currently, Company Y owes 410,000 – 200,000 = $210,000 more than Company X.

Thus, Company Y needs to pay back $210,000 more over 3 years to come even with Company X. This implies that each year, Company Y pays back $70,000 more than Company X.

Looking at the answer choices, the only pair that differs by $70,000 is $10,000 (for Company X) and $80,000 (for Company Y).

A potential danger with this problem is using the answer choices to calculate outstanding loan amounts before you deduce that the difference must be $70,000. With 6 answer choices per company, you’ll likely need multiple attempts to find two choices that result in equal loan amounts after 3 years.

On TPA problems with numeric answers, you must figure out the relationship between the two numbers before you go to the answer choices.
