Hi Mikezzzzzzz. Pardon me if I missed a z! According to past trends they should start giving calls from tomorrow. Now I am not sure how they manage the different time zones. I am sure gmatclub and clearadmit will be abuzz when they start calling. All the best!

all the best to you, too!!! Wondering also what time they'll call international applicants and should I anixously wait out until the wee hours.
Hi jcl07. I spoke to one of the alum in my town, who is also a surgeon. She told me she had received the call during daytime while she was in the middle of an eye operation with patient on a eye retractor. She excused herself from the operation to take the call( I would do the same) and it ended up being a half hour call!!! The patient totally clueless of what the hell was happening. So long story short, I think they usually don’t call during the wee hours. So enjoy a good night sleep. Cheers! And all the best to you too!

I heard they would start with East Asia. I am expecting some news tomorrow.
Yes. A few more hours! Someone has reported an acceptance on Livewire on clearadmit. But most feel it’s a troll, as no one else has reported it. It’s too early I feel. Fingers crossed and let’s wait on it together! Cheers!
I saw this on Clear Admit. If it's true, then they really started with East Asia first.
December 8, 2020 12:14am Accepted to Stanford GSB via phone Today. GPA: 3.8 GMAT: 770 Round: Round 1 | Japan Post-MBA Career: Finance OMG OMG OMG!!! Received the call from my alumni interviewer after lunch time

I saw a new report from Japan on Livewire. It seems that they just began calling East Asian applicants.
Yes. Saw that too. Don’t know whether to believe it or not! Never heard before that alumni calling and letting the applicants know. If that’s true I am happy for him/her. If it’s a troll, it’s too bad
I have a question regarding GSB's background check process. Does anyone know what items will be checked? I know degrees, employment history, and criminal records will definitely be checked, but how about other items in the application? The GSB application asked a ton of questions about every aspect of you... If everything will be checked, that will be feeling like almost another round of application... If anyone has an answer to this, highly appreciated!
NO! This is way too early to assume anything Also, for Round 1 Stanford released their interview invites a few at a time over the time span of a month. So, you have to wait for some more time
Does anyone know roughly when we should expect interview invites to be sent out?

They've started coming out. Here's the official text: "We will email interview invitations between 1 February and 10 March each weekday at 10:30 am Pacific Time (so no need to refresh your email all day)." Hope this helps!
