Has everyone here submitted their official gmat and toefl score to Stern? I have self reported them but have not paid gmac to send the official reports.
What’s the status guys... any more interviews? Assume admit decisions are well into 2021 basically?

I just received an interview invite yesterday. Honestly very turned off by how slow they were. I am about to hear back from two other schools this week...

Came to know about their tactics after applying, and I genuinely detest such practices, basically all R1 and R2 applicants are assessed together whereas R2 applicants have a month more. Someone was mentioning a large number of deferrals as well. Surely not the most ethical way to run a school.

Would urge you to go through last year's forum, it's pretty clearly mentioned there. All in the name of increasing yields. But in the long run, people will catch on to their tactics and start preferring other schools.

For those that interviewed R1, have you heard back? If so, what’s been your turnaround time from interview to decision?

Some people have heard back from R1. Because of the twisted system at Stern, people in R2 may get interview invites before people in R1 get any sort of response.
I’m actually having a hard time understanding this R1 R2 thing, doesn’t R1 guys hear back before R2 either way ?

In a fair system and logical system, no R2 applicant should be looked at till all the R1 applicants are assessed and informed about their status. But here an R2 applicant may get an interview invite even before an R1 applicant. They basically see the R1 pool and make their assessments but dont inform most of the applicants, then they assess the R2 pool and see if it's better than R1 and start inviting R2 people along with the R1 people. Thus giving an unfair advantage to the R2 applicant as they had an extra month to put in their application.
