Got a response from Consortium regarding fellowship timing

"Thanks for reaching out. In general, most Consortium fellowship notifications will happen in March, once we have our fellowship draft. Your first ranked school could offer you the fellowship early (but if not, they could just wait until March)."

Congrats!! I was wondering if any schools would be awarding the fellowship before the March draft dates. So on your admissions call you were informed about school and consortium admission and also that you'd be offered the consortium fellowship?

Yes, they told me in my acceptance letter. I ranked them #1, so I think that made it possible!

So I just spoke to an AdCom at one of the schools I was accepted at.

Only the school you ranked #1 on your Consortium application has the option to award the fellowship at the time of admission. Even then, many schools wait until the draft. Every school other than your personally top-ranked have to wait until March.

Haas is the only school I see with a Feb deadline for consortium applicants... before the fellowship draft in March? My other consortium schools have april deadlines so I am a little confused.

“The Consortium will start releasing membership decisions to round one applicants on Friday, December 18 thru Wednesday, December 23. Once your membership decision is available, we will send you an email.”

Senpapi I am in the same boat. From what I recall, we should be hearing back this week with the official admissions letter.

Oh hey, congrats! all that waiting for Marshall paid off.

that’s reassuring. I tried emailing the adcomm yesterday who gave me the call and I got an automatic response saying the school is closed until 1/6 so we’ll see how this plays out.

Merry Christmas Eve! Just got the email from The Consortium directly - I was admitted.
Hopefully USC doesn’t get salty about me ranking them second and offers the fellowship since UCLA, which was 1st, waitlisted me. Anyone have any anecdotes about schools that weren’t ranked first voluntarily saying “no fellowship” during the draft?

Hi everyone, I was accepted into McCombs and Anderson. Today, I was notified by the consortium that I was also accepted. I wasn't notified by either school on my admission letter that I would be awareded fellowship. Hoping that I get good news in March. Good luck to everyone!
