There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
Same, I also interviewed during EA and my interviewer did not have my resume. Yes, they asked for my resume along with the Learning group essay while booking an interview slot but that I believe was a requirement to assess whether I am genuinely looking to apply to EA or not.
No invite as yet. Just wondering if it was the right call to forego scheduling an open interview. And just 5 days remain for the final decisions of the EA round :/

As ad18 already explained, I was hoping that an interview invite would imply that the adcom liked the application. It was definitely a gamble - let's see what Oct 20 has in store.
Anyone know what is the last date R1 candidates can expect Interview invites? Saw a lot of folks received their invites the week before (congrats btw!) wondering if the window is closed and what the time would be to assume the worst! 😅
Timing is not a reflection of candidacy. We know the interview invitation process can cause some anxiety for applicants (the waiting is certainly the hardest part), but know that we extend interview invitations for each round on a rolling basis (as opposed to all at once). Applicants can be invited to interview up to the decision release date in question, and we appreciate your patience as we work through our review process.

Thank you. More so, we all did not submit our R1 app on the same date.
It's certainly going to be progressive review of applications.
The official decision is released electronically via status page update. Admitted students also receive a phone call in advance of the official decision notification. From the Zoom event. All the best to EA applicants!
