Yes, they call, starting from the day before usually. They typically also send Zoom invites for internationals.

ad18, might go the other way and confuse the admissions team that why did this person not take advantage of the open interview period if he/she was so interested in the program. These things are subjective but I don’t think you should be too worried so soon. Give it some time, attend events and put yourself out there in front of them to show you’re committed

Absolutely, I was just giving one perspective which I also had. But I did opt for open interview since I didn’t want to take the risk😅

They have not read any documents pertaining to your app, including your resume and essays.

Basically they have no idea who you are or what you’ve done.

The interview is just like any other interview. Video is on, but the interviewer only has your resume and nothing else, meaning that she/he hasn’t read your application. But your resume is definitely there. I would suggest you prepare for one big giant question: tell me about yourself. That’s basically the only question I got and lots of follow-up questions. That’s it)

Oh and also learn about Darden of course, it’s a great school and lots of information is available on their website and Youtube. That will definitely help

In Darden’s case blind interview means that the interviewer would not even have your resume, hence the tell me about yourself is usually so detailed. They are truly coming in with a blank slate.

Hmm that’s weird, I had to send my resume separately to reserve my interview spot (non-binding EA) and the interviewer told me she has seen only my resume. Maybe it’s different with EA?

I had my interview during the EA round, and my interviewer for sure did not have my resume. At the beginning of the interview, I gave a great introduction about my background... and then she asked me where I was from. I totally forgot she did not know anything about me! lol
