If your profile is good they"ll definitely give you a chance to interview. And if you manage to impress them in your interview and if score is the only downside of your application,then you can re-write the exam. Use your optional essay nicely to let them know why you got this score and that you are willing to improve it

You could also reiterate your interest and fit in the program, there’s a "Other" section where you can add general information. If you connected to additional students, make sure to mention them in this letter as well. Apart from your own update, you could also gather additional letter of recommendation/support. That’s what I did, I was waitlisted in round 1 and fortunately converted to an admit in round 2
