Hey I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask for a profile evaluation request.
But I'm really confused if I should consider applying to Rotman.
Any feedback and advice would be greatly appreciated.
26 M - Indian
Work Ex & Education: SDE2 - [FAANG] - 4+ years work experience - Worked in a few different verticals, high impact projects.
B.Tech - Computer Science [Tier 2 college] - 9.2 CGPA
12th Standard - 94%
10th Standard - 10 CGPA
Extra Curriculars: 8+ hackathons won within [FAANG] company
Built a digital product, advertised & marketed it - Generated 1500$ Monthly Recurring Revenue - Solo
Built a small following (~18K) talking about mental health and psychology
President in college club organising events, hosting learning sessions, leading a team of 300+ members
Earned royalty by selling digital assets to companies [some well known] in college [helped me pay for 50-60% of my college expenses]
Have a few other experiences [Not sure what should be explicitly highlighted]
GMAT Target Score: 710 [Averaging around 700-710 in mocks, exam booked for 30th July]
Get an absolute score!
I can speak to Rotman as one of the schools that's actually holistic (there are a lot of Indian Applications and basically a literal page that basically says- "we know your GMAT score is going to be high, give us more"
I'd focus on every aspect of my life to highlight my spike factor. I only dedicated one paragraph of 200 words in the 1000 words limit. 800 words were UG, Personal and extra stuff.
For any Indian applicant with a GMAT >700, applying in EA- Focus on every other aspect in your essay. That's the advice.
I've seen applicants with better professional experience than me get rejected bcoz all they produced was their professional experience.
And rightly so, they are not going to assume that you're doing all those side stuff until you mention it!
