faat99, I did send a thank you after my Oxford interview. I sent it to the general admissions email address and asked that they please forward it to [interviewer’s name]. I received a nice reply back confirming they forwarded it.

I did, along with a note saying this is dependent on you receiving an offer

Yes, I think it’s condition on an offer

Interesting that Oxford does that. Does this mean that they typically have a higher offer rate from interviews? Pretty awkward to have this event if they still eliminate a lot at the interview

I once saw somewhere (unverified info channel) that Oxford's acceptance rate for interviewed candidates is as high as 75% to 80%.

I am an Indian IT professional, following are my details:
GMAT Score: 720 (Q49, V40)
Work Experience: 75 months
Grade in PG: 2.63/4.33
Grade in UG: 8.15/10
I wanted to apply for Oxford in the last round, i.e. the one ending on 23rd March.

Could anyone tell me if I have any chance of being called for an interview or is it just going to be a wasted application at this stage?

Are you planning to take the GMAT again? If not, then I personally don’t think there’s any harm in applying. If you get in, fantastic! If you don’t, then take a few months to improve your GMAT score or take the HBS CORe to strengthen the academics aspect of your profile before reapplying in the next application cycle.

Wishing you all the best!

Hi, I attended a couple of fireside chats with the Adcom and talked to several alumni, and here goes my advice:

1. 720 is a competitive GMAT score for Said, even in the later rounds. However, since your GPAs seem a bit low, better if you have an extremely high GMAT score to kinda offset it.

2. Though the acceptance rates are pretty stable among all rounds, one factor that would significantly put you at a disadvantage is DIVERSITY, especially considering that you are an Indian from the IT industry. Very likely the program has already admitted many applicants with similar profiles in earlier rounds.

I would suggest that you apply early for the 2023 intake. Good luck to all of us!

Hello,

for the english language professional waiver, what is the format that is to be followed?
Its stated that it should be a letter - so, should it be a formal letter with subject and everything?

Thanks in advance,

I will apply R1 next year, friend.
