Given it’s alumni driven and less “standardized” as a result, I wouldn’t read it to be a positive / negative into how the adcom feels about you candidacy but it sounds like the interview went well so it will be another positive datapoint for your application. When did you receive the interview invite? Posted from my mobile device
Hmmmn, roughly 3 or so, weeks ago.

I believe we still have time and they won't release any dings until 30 Mar. As per one of the emails they sent after submission:

"When will I hear about a decision?

You will be notified of your application decision on 30 March.

If you were invited to interview, we will email you on this date asking you to log into your online account to view your MBA application decision. At this time you will be admitted, denied, or offered a spot on the waitlist.

If you were not selected for an interview as of this date, you will receive an email asking you to log in to your online application. You will see one of the following decisions for your MBA application:
You are offered a spot on our waitlist for the MBA Program with the possibility of being interviewed in a subsequent round.
Your application to the MBA Program is denied. Please note this decision is final."

Yes, while I am still very excited about the potential opportunity, I am holding an acceptance back east so it eases some of the anxiety.

Hi guys, something off topic. Would you recommend working on improving my GMAT score so I can get to Top 15 MBA programs next year, (it’s been a while struggling to pass the 600 margin (Bad on Verbal, second language and not a reader). Or would you recommend starting an MBA program this year on one of the top 30 MBA programs that offers GMAT waiver such as Georgetown, Mendoza, Simon, Scheller? Planning for consulting after MBA career switch from engineering

Respectfully speaking, even Georgetown, would be a fairly large lift. Their average score is almost 700. I would do a concentrated search of schools closer to your scores, unless, you think it’s fixable, i.e. getting a much higher score.

Hi,

I am looking forward to joining the MBA in the upcoming year 2024.
I am an Aerospace engineer, turned start-up entrepreneur with a proven track record of raising funds from venture capitalists, building quality teams, scaling products, and turning profitable. I am now working at the founder’s office at Fynd, backed by google, now a Reliance group company (Fortune 500), heading growth for one of their business units and tech product transformation for another business unit

I am planning to quit my job and startup again, so while applying to the universities I will be a second time startup entrepreneur,  how will the Admission Committee view this and its overall impact on the MBA candidature?

PS: My target schools are INSEAD, Harvard, GSB, Wharton, Chicago Booth, Haas, Kellogg, Columbia, and Sloan

I think the question that would be on everyone’s mind is what will an MBA do for you?
You already sound so successful and are road bound to more success. So why an MBA?

There is a guy with a similar story of P&Q YouTube. That was what Sandy was on about … you already do the things the curriculum prepare you for … so how do you think we are going to help you.
You have got a great profile btw.
Best of luck

The mail sent after submission stated that all interview invites would be sent by mid-March. I guess this is the end of the road. But, I didn’t really see much activity on the invite after the 1st week of March

Hi Everyone! I wanted to say thank you to everyone as you guys have been my support system! I posted here a few times asking for any interview invites in Europe and you guys replied worrying together with me. I really appreciate all your support and I guess this is the end for me in terms of Stanford but good luck to everyone! Stanford was my dream school!

From my understanding, everyone gets final decisions on the 30th. If you interviewed and are going to be admitted, they start making calls 1-2 days before to let you know. If you didn't interview and are waiting for waitlist / rejection, you'll find out via the portal on the 30th.
