Its not mandatory, but recommended. plus, the student ambassadors can vouch for you to admissions - so another chance to make a personal impression apart from the video assessment.

Just had my mccombs admission connect session - very casual mostly just me asking her questions/chatting about Austin and what I hope to get out of an MBA. I dont think they report anything to the admissions committee though, do they??

I feel it's more of a case of covering that "ask me if you have any questions" part of the regular interview as everything else was automated.

It doesn’t look like the admissions connect will have an impact in the final outcome. I also think this is more like an Ask Me Anything session.
