Does anyone know what is the difference between the acceptance rate of R1 and R2 for Insead?
Hi
vedant745 , it depends on the pool you come from. INSEAD has set a certain percentage for different demographic groups (you might think in terms of nationality), and the Adcom works hard to stick to those limits. If you come from an over-represented group, applying early has huge advantages, including more scholarship. In one of the years when the number of applications saw an uptick, I heard INSEAD officials say they were sad that they had to turn down so many deserving profiles because of the percentage criterion.
As long as you have a profile that is clearly deserving of INSEAD, have a good GMAT/GRE score and do not slack off on writing essays and resume, you can be quite optimistic about your chances in R2.
Best wishes
