Hi folks, I see that the Insead portal is throwing up some host error, is anybody else facing the same? Or have heard back from them?

Hey folks, can I check, whether we need to "re-send" our GMAT scores to INSEAD while submitting the application even though we had sent the score to INSEAD when we took the exam at the test center itself? The application portal shows an option to send score. Not sure whether we need to submit it again. Can please let me know?

Hey @Lipun ,

If you already sent your GMAT scores to INSEAD when taking the test, you usually don’t need to resend them. If the portal still shows the option, check with INSEAD adcom to confirm they have your scores or not. Confirm in the GMAT portal as well that your scores were indeed sent to INSEAD.

when you sent it at the test center, you dont have to resend it. But you still have to upload the unofficial report and inform them.

Does INSEAD reach out to recommenders? I was quite surprised that mine hasn’t heard from them yet. I have done the interviews and I am now waiting for final decision. Is it at the end of the process that they do that? or they don’t do it at all?

I have heard that they don’t reach out to all the recommenders. They reach out to a few where they want to hear a bit more/have submitted through personal emails etc.

Hi folks, does anyone have details around the written question asked at the end of video essay session. How much time do we get and the kind of questions asked.

Hi vedant745 , it depends on the pool you come from. INSEAD has set a certain percentage for different demographic groups (you might think in terms of nationality), and the Adcom works hard to stick to those limits. If you come from an over-represented group, applying early has huge advantages, including more scholarship. In one of the years when the number of applications saw an uptick, I heard INSEAD officials say they were sad that they had to turn down so many deserving profiles because of the percentage criterion.

As long as you have a profile that is clearly deserving of INSEAD, have a good GMAT/GRE score and do not slack off on writing essays and resume, you can be quite optimistic about your chances in R2.

Best wishes

Hey!

INSEAD considers academic qualifications- Undergrad and above, yes?

reeya_raykar

Of course they do, what good business school doesn’t! But if you are asking specifically about comparing the brand or college pedigree of applicants, I'd say INSEAD looks at the profile holistically. Many students come from Tier 2 or Tier 3 schools or have no Ivy background, and yet they have achieved incredible success in their pre-MBA careers. INSEAD values people who have shown perseverance and excellence, often in the face of limited resources. More than what you’ve achieved with every advantage, they are impressed by what you’ve achieved despite the challenges. These are the profiles that stand out.

Best wishes
