GMAT Club is excited to open the 2026 PM Internships!

This is a unique opportunity to get a pre-MBA PM Internship with real product work: define the strategy, build with developers, and launch something that ships.

Who Can Apply (updated rules):

If you have an interview invite, waitlist, or admit, you are eligible.
If you do not have an invite or admit yet, you can still apply by uploading a GMAT score screenshot.
We will also select 2 waitlist candidates (backup spots if a selected intern drops).

How is the Experience?
The internship experience is fast-paced. Traditional FAANG PM internship is 2.5 months and you only have to deliver a presentation. In this case you will design the product, build it, and launch it. This is both a fast-paced process but also comes in waves - when we are building, there is not a whole lot for you to work on besides the launch and marketing plan. Also, there is plenty of flexibility if you have a wedding, vacation, etc. However, you will need to be able to spend 10 hours a week regularly and some weeks it will require 20. Otherwise, if you spend less, you won't be able to finish the strategy part and will end up building a half-baked product. You will get out of this experience as much as you put in.

Does it help with PM Recruiting?

Yes. You get to do what a real PM does. 2 of the last year's interns who recruited into tech already have their Tech PM internships. A student at Tepper got a Microsoft PM role and a Wharton student got an elite PM role at a gaming company I can't name. Both have extensively leveraged their experience gained at GMAT Club during the interviews.

Who is the Ideal Candidate?

We are looking to give admitted students a chance to gain real-world tech PM experience, something that's unfortunately is hard to find these days. Anyone who is admitted or had an interview is welcome to apply. (This experience is designed to help you get a PM internship/job, not help with admissions, so you must be either admitted or interviewing). Last year we have had a dev from Microsoft, an Army Officer, a marketing manager from TikTok, a dev from an EU non-profit, a New York Consultant, and a Financial analyst. Any background works!

Projects Available for 2026:

1) Decision Tracker - Upgrade

Upgrade the product experience and workflows end to end.
Make it easier to add decisions
Improve discovery and visibility

2) Performance Analytics - Upgrade

Rebuild and upgrade core analytics views and performance reporting.
You will be focusing on improving the helpfulness and visibility of Analytics
Both marketing and product vision will be important

3) GMAT Club Tests - Rollout of the Official Adaptive Algorithm

This is our Flagship product that will launch with the new Official algorithm that GMAC uses
Roll out the Official Adaptive Algorithm with clear UX, scoring logic communication, and performance tracking.
Work to refine and launch the new UI to improve test review experience
Pricing and packaging strategy can be included in the scope

4) Reviews - Full Rebuild from the Ground Up

Re-architect the reviews experience, structure, and UX.
You will work to design the system from scratch to completely replace the old review system with over 10,000 reviews.
Focus on trust, clarity, and decision-making value for candidates.

5) Forum UI - New UI Experience for GMAT Club Forum Pages

Bring a modern UI experience to forum pages.
A very challenging project; though a lot of work has been done, there is till a lot more to do. Only apply if you have 20 or more hours per week available.
Prioritize usability, navigation, and speed improvements.

6) Secret Project

We are keeping one project under wraps for now. Details shared with selected interns.

There are 5-6 interns, each working on their own product, so each team is based on the product and consists of 1 intern, developers necessary for the product, myself, and other SME's as needed.

P.S. The program is for people who are planning to start school in the fall 2026, so someone who either already has admits in R1 or in the waiting phase of their R2 application.

The sheer volume and quality of applications this year were staggering, making our selection process more difficult than ever. After multiple rounds of rigorous reviews and interviews with a highly competitive shortlist, we have reached our final decision.

Now in its  6th annual year , the GMAT Club Tech PM Internship remains a unique "builder" program. Our interns don’t just "make pretty decks"—they define products, shape strategy, and work directly with developers to launch real features.
Over the coming months, this cohort will receive direct mentorship from experienced PMs (including experts from FAANG) and gain the hands-on experience necessary to lead in the tech industry.

Upon successful completion, each intern will receive a  $2,000 stipend  and a personalized LinkedIn recommendation.
