Could you explain that a little further for this not so wise and non-native English speaker? Not really sure what you mean

Sure - not everyone who puts down a deposit ultimately matriculates. This could be because they couldn't decide between two schools and put down deposits at both deadlines, but will have to sooner or later cancel one. Another scenario is someone who put down a deposit to reserve a seat at one school, but after getting the call from another schools WL, they cancel their enrollment in favor of the other offer. It's a bit of a domino effect that usually happens in the summer. I should have put "summer melt" in quotes

One of the waitlist-accepts said that his/her deposit was due the 13th, and another said the 14th. I would think that Tuck would turn around and offer those passed-up spots right away? kschmidt - when was your deposit due?
