Hello everyone,
I am an international student, applying to Canadian B schools this year. My post MBA goal is to get into Strategy consulting focusing on Business transformational initiatives in Financial Services sector. I have already finalised Rotman as my top choice, but not sure which ones to choose between UBC and Schulich.
Cost- UBC wins
Consulting jobs post MBA- Both look dull, but Mck doesn't hire from Schulich. (UBC advantage?)
Batch size- Schulich wins
Location- Not sure, can anyone advise? But haven't heard great stories about Schulich. (UBC advantage?)
Ranking- Schulich wins
Network and International recognition- Not sure, advise?
Scholarships- Not sure, advise?
Would love any advise that could help.

Hi Shubham,
Recruitment is often the most important parameter for most, but if both the schools weigh equal (BTW, McKinsey hires at both) on the count, you may think about Toronto as the (Schulich) location to be in. In general, there will be more recruitment opportunities around Toronto than Vancouver, and this may be a factor if you decide to recruit for other industries too, which is quite common once you join a program.
Just my thoughts. You should prioritize what's important to you.

But I looked at Mck website https://www.mckinsey.com/global-location ... w-to-apply
And looks like they dont hire from Schulich, also I talked to a lot of current students, everyone had similar views.
I'm not sure about the number of hires from UBC and Sauder at MBB, but if anyone can provide some insights on that, would be really helpful.
Also, most MBB firms have offices at both Vancouver and Calgary, and they could potentially look at students at UBC, not sure. Any insights??
