How can we say depression and the rest cause fibromyalgia? We're just told that these interfere with phases during deep sleep. Saying that these conditions cause fibromyalgia is confusing correlation with causation.

These conditions can cause a lack of Deep Sleep and lack of Deep sleep in turn can result into fibromyalgia.
The keyword here is "can cause" not "cause".
