Hi All,
I'm interested in applying to Haas. I intend to apply this fall in R1 through the Consortium. I would love if anyone could give insight into what chances you think I'd have of gaining admission, and perhaps even the Consortium fellowship?
Basic Stats:
27 year old male
University of Notre Dame Bachelor of Arts (2010)
Majored in Philosophy
3.08 Undergrad GPA
( Held a 3.5 GPA last two years. )
Earned two MA's: One in Liberal Arts (3.4 GPA at St. John's College), the other in Curriculum and Instruction (4.0 GPA at University of Mississippi)
GRE score: 165 V, 168 Q (both 95th percentile -- 760 GMAT equivalent)
Goals:
Target is to work in management consulting (ideally MBB) after MBA for the ~5 year term, then transition into social entrepreneurship (think venture capital for ed tech).
Other Background Info:
Taught 10th Grade English (3 years, it will be my 4th year while submitting applications). Did not do TFA, but did a similar program (Mississippi Teacher Corps) that is, by percent of applicants admitted, more competitive than TFA.
Showed increased responsibility by, after two years, being elected to train and manage new teachers for my MA program. Also, in my current school district, elected to a district-level leadership board for academics.
Outside work activities mostly have included helping out at the school. Coached multiple sports, tutored
