In that case, I would just focus on the first part of my recommendation. Stanford MSX and Sloan fellows are such prestigious programs that they would definitely help him out in NYC or anywhere else in the world. Cornell Tech MBA is located in NYC, so that's something to think about. I would also argue that USC has some weight in New York, and I'd recommend that he apply to the Stern part-time program. If you applied to the executive programs he's going to get a really different result. Given that Career Services is really not going to be helpful that might be something to think about.
Good luck to you both!

i got in HBS and @NYU. Well, my part is done. MSx is great, but we gotta consider the cost coz I'll go to HBS definitely. BTW, the status is his. We applied to the same schools. Except NYU/Kelley. I graduated from NYU so thought it'd be a safe. gladly it was.

Congrats on your HBS admission. I agree that the age did not help him and the goals likely needed some refining. In terms of the lower ranked schools, they probably waitlisted him to see if he was really interested in going. It is unfortunate but that happens. If he wants to go to one of those, I could help get him off the waitlist. Send me an email to discuss my waitlist support. [email protected]

The programs mentioned above are great, though are you only looking at starting this fall? It is late in the cycle, so that is something to keep in mind.

Best,
Scott
