Dear All,
I’m an Indian male, planning to apply for fall 2020. I will have 3 years of work experience by the time of matriculation (1 year in strategy & operations at a family owned small sized manufacturing firm and 2 years at Ernst & Young as a consultant). I have also interned at a major Indian investment bank, if internship experience counts.
Prior qualifications- A dual degree in engineering and management with a GPA of 3.02
GMAT score - 740.
I had also been fairly active while at college, volunteering for a couple of years. I’m currently volunteering it an education non-profit.
The schools I’m targeting are: Columbia, Fuqua, Darden, Sloan, Ross, Kellogg, Anderson, Said and HEC.
I want to know if my targets are realistic and which colleges in the US/Europe do I have a genuine shot at?

Pbajpai, a few thoughts on your profile evaluation:

- While the GMAT score is good, the GPA looks quite modest/below average for most of your target school range. Was it from a top brand? Might be a good idea to address the relatively low GPA in your application.
- You may be aware that the average experience range is 4-5 years at most top MBA programs; more so for those in EU. Given this perspective, and the fact that within your limited experience you already have a change, applying this year can be pretty risky. If you do, think about how you'll showcase differentiation and achievements beyond your years.
- For reasons mentioned here, we don't speculate on school selection chances. That being said, given the point above, it might be a better idea to think of investing another year in profile building ideally. For European programs, also bear in mind that international experience matters.
- The volunteer experience is always useful. Make sure you bring about the scale/impact of your work on this aspect well.

Hello Pbajpai, congrats on GMAT score which can balance your low undergrad scores. Target schools look reachable for your profile. But your work experience is a bit low for European schools as they look for an average of 5 years full-time experience, and your interns will not be considered as full time but it will be boosting your profile.
Your Ec's sounds good, the admission committees will be happy to see a brand name like 'Ey' in your CV. It is suggestable to wait for one more year to increase your work ex and profile in possible ways before applying for your dream schools.
