Hi,
I am from Healthcare background, graduated in physiotherapy and then masters in health administration. I have been working in healthcare industry for past 6 years, (2yr clinical space+4 yr corporate) I have worked in the fields of healthcare IT, public health, healthcare consulting and currently with pharma. I never thought I would need an MBA but recently figured out the skill gap when working on healthcare marketing strategies. A general discussion with my mentors has resulted in 2 options to choose, gain experience in the field or do an MBA. I choose the MBA option as I feel It would help me move into leadership positions post mba but selecting a right school has become a big challenge. I have been speaking with alumni and adcoms of various schools but couldn’t narrow down any options. I would be open for your insights in this regard

1. I am 31 year old with masters degree
2. I am an Indian applicant, currently with Novartis Healthcare as Sr Business Analyst
3. Given GRE and scored 328(Q166, V162)
4. I am primarily looking at US or UK schools, please let me know if my choices are wrong here
5. Post MBA, I would like to proceed either with Healthcare consulting/ Leadership programs at Pharma

I realize this isn't the ideal forum to divulge everything but we are missing a few key questions about your school preference: Do you care about the class size? What about the geographic location within the US or UK? Does the program need to have a healthcare focus/option or are you looking for a broader MBA experience? How much risk do you want to take in your application? In other words, do you want to go for all reach schools or are you happy with a more traditional tiered approach? Where do you want to be geographically post-graduation?
Biographically speaking, what is your GPA at both your undergraduate and masters program? That is an important component that you did not disclose.
Setting aside the fact that I need a lot of information from you, a few possible schools that put on your list (with varying degrees of difficulty) could include Wharton, Johnson, Darden, Ross, Kenan-Flagler, Tepper and Columbia.

I want to be in Healthcare space and would like to work in the leadership development programs (LDP) offered at J&J and other big pharma.
I am neither bothered of class size nor location till the program fulfills my post MBA goal (leadership development programs at top pharma companies). I have seen that the recruitment for LDP is high in US, so if I have to prefer a location then I would say USA for the sole reason. However I am open to other locations if you feel I can achieve the same goal with any ex US school
Undergrad - 64.74% - Top 5 in class
Post Grad - 6.2/10 CGPA - top 10 percent of class
