Background: I am 28M, (ORM - Indian Citizen, Engineer, Working in the Middle East)
Academics:
GRE: 330 (Q168, V163, 4.5 AWA)
GPA: 3.7, T50 School in India, Electrical Engineering, Lots of ECs
Work Ex:
6 Years (6.5 at the time of application) in large scale tech startups (IPO). 1 year sales & ops + 5 years in tech strategy & general management leading a $2M USD business with a team of 10+ in Dubai.
Leadership:
i) Currently Co-founder at a social impact venture where we help connect minority communities to legal employment opportunities in the MENA region, reducing human trafficking and blue collar labour exploitation
ii) 2 Promotions, Leading a team of 10 direct reportees (MBAs, 2-4 years work exp)
Post MBA Goal: Stay in Tech Strategy/General Management move to West Coast US.
Target Schools:
Hail Mary: Stanford, HBS
Reach: Haas, Ross, UCLA, Cornell
Safe: McCombs, USC, Foster
- Are my target schools realistic?
- Would my age/work ex be a deterrent? I will be 29 at the time of starting and average class size is ~27-28.
- Being a ORM, would the 330 GRE be competitive?
