I'm confused, please help

Hello
I'm honestly very confused since I just recently started exploring about GMAT and wasn't expecting soo much.
somethings about myself:
im a 2nd year Btech student
From India 
no extracurricular
9+GPA
I'm overall very confused about the universities i should aim for or any extracurricular I should join in to build a stronger profile. Please just guide me a little on how to look at these things.
Im thinking of joining in an ngo in this summer break, should i go through with it??

First, don’t worry about choosing universities yet. As a second-year BTech student, the highest-value thing you can do is preserve your 9+ GPA, build meaningful experiences, and understand what kind of career you want after engineering. The school list comes later, once we know whether you are targeting deferred MBA programs, MiM programs, or a regular MBA after a few years of work experience.  
 Your lack of extracurriculars is very fixable because you still have time. Admissions committees care much more about depth than collecting certificates. Pick one or two areas where you can take responsibility, create something, lead people, or solve a problem. A college club, entrepreneurship cell, technical society, social initiative, research project, hackathon team, or student publication can all work if you actually contribute and grow within them.  
 Yes, joining an NGO this summer can be a good idea, but only if you are interested enough to stay involved and eventually take ownership. Two months of generic volunteering will add little. Twelve to eighteen months where you run an initiative, improve a process, raise funds, teach consistently, manage volunteers, or create measurable impact becomes a much stronger story. Choose the cause based on genuine interest, not what you think will “look good.”  
 We would also not make the GMAT your immediate priority. Spend the next year strengthening academics, internships, skills and leadership experiences. You can start understanding the exam and perhaps take a diagnostic later, but there is no need to rush into serious preparation right now. A strong profile plus a strong GMAT later is much better than a high GMAT attached to an otherwise empty undergraduate experience.  
 A simple way to think about the next two years is: Year 2: explore and join; Year 3: take ownership and secure a strong internship; Year 4: demonstrate impact and clarify your postgraduate path. If you can graduate with a 9+ GPA, one or two substantial extracurricular stories, good internships and evidence that you took initiative, you will have built a very solid foundation for competitive global programs.
