B) Incorrect parallelism. Should be "to generate" Eliminate.
C) Incorrect parallelism. Should be "to generate" Eliminate.
D) Illogical opening modifier -- comma spliced. Eliminate.
E) Correct. "to conduct" and "to generate" are parallel. Opening modifier logically precedes the rest of the sentence.
