A) human babies look markedly different from the skinny newborns of other primates, such as chimpanzees and rhesus macaques, with almost 15% of their body weight made up of fat. - Incorrect
- The prepositional phrase with almost .. is too removed from human babies to modify it.
- There is no clear antecedent of the pronoun their in with almost...their body

B) human babies have almost 15% of their body weight made up of fat, which makes them look markedly different than the skinny newborns of other primates, such as chimpanzees and rhesus macaques. Incorrect
- changes the meaning of the sentence. According to anthropologists, human babies look different than other primates not have 15% body fat weight

C) human babies, with almost 15% of their body weight made up of fat, look markedly different from the skinny newborns of other primates, such as chimpanzees and rhesus macaques. - Correct
- the prepositional phrase is placed close to the noun it modifies and the sentence keeps the original meaning of the sentence intact

D) fat makes up almost 15% of the body weight of human babies, looking markedly different from the skinny newborns of other primates, such as chimpanzees and rhesus macaques. Incorrect
Illogical. Fat looks markedly different from skinny newborns ??

E) human babies have almost 15% of their body weight made up of fat, which looks markedly different than the skinny newborns of other primates, such as chimpanzees and rhesus macaques. Incorrect
The placement on the non-essential modifier is incorrect - which refers to fat instead of human babies

A) human babies look markedly different from the skinny newborns of other primates, such as chimpanzees and rhesus macaques, with almost 15% of their body weight made up of fat. -> their (pronoun) can refer to human babies, chimpanzees or rhesus. It is not sure. Incorrect.

B) human babies have almost 15% of their body weight made up of fat, which makes them look markedly different than the skinny newborns of other primates, such as chimpanzees and rhesus macaques. -> "which" made incorrect comparison. "fat" is compared with "newborns", It is incorrect.

C) human babies, with almost 15% of their body weight made up of fat, look markedly different from the skinny newborns of other primates, such as chimpanzees and rhesus macaques. -> It is better and there is no pronoun error. Let's keep it.

D) fat makes up almost 15% of the body weight of human babies, looking markedly different from the skinny newborns of other primates, such as chimpanzees and rhesus macaques. -> We can't say fat looking differently, it is not the intended meaning. Incorrect.

E) human babies have almost 15% of their body weight made up of fat, which looks markedly different than the skinny newborns of other primates, such as chimpanzees and rhesus macaques. -> same as B. Incorrect.

So, I think C. :)
