(A) The new hiring freeze on public school teachers will stay in effect for the next two years.
Sure, but there can be a case that public school has enough teachers to maintain the student-teacher ratio for the next two years.
(B) Public schools educate a greater percentage of this country's children than do private schools.
Ok.! but this tells us nothing about the number of teachers even though this option sounds tempting but think what if Public schools have the highest number of teachers more than enough to compensate the student-teacher ratio.
(C) Private schools have an average student-teacher ratio of 14 students to each teacher.
So, this makes us believe on why people should choose private schools because their ratio is way low than the max prescribed ratio.
(D) Three years ago, a high student-teacher ratio in the public schools created learning problems for many of the affected students.
It was three years ago might not be the condition now. Question is asking about the situation of this year.
(E) The increase in federal and state funding for the city's educational system has been cut in each of the last three yearly budgets.
Says nothing about the number of teachers and students in the public schools.
