five kilograms of the candy that costs 25 cents per kilogram = 5 * 0.25 = $1.25
Remaining amount => $3.49 -$1.25 = $2.24
let x be the quantity of the candies that costs $0.32 per Kg
Therefore, x*0.32 = 2.24 => x = 7 Kgs.
Hence Option D is correct answer.

c1 + c2 = 3.49
5*0.25 + x*0.32 = 3.49
1.25 + x*0.32 = 3.49
x*0.32 = 2.24
x = 2.24 / 0.32 = 7
ANS : 7
