If 5 percent of a rectangular lot is covered by a rectangular shed that is 25 feet long and 24 feet wide, what is the area of the lot in square feet?
Area of rectangular shed = 24* 25
Given Shed covers 5% of total lot => 5/100 * Area of total lot = area of shed
=> Area of total lot = 24*25 * (100/5) = 12000
Answer: C
Area of rectangular shed = 24* 25
Given Shed covers 5% of total lot => 5/100 * Area of total lot = area of shed
=> Area of total lot = 24*25 * (100/5) = 12000

24 ft * 25 ft = 600 sq ft
Shed's area is 5 percent of the lot
Area of lot L in square feet?
600 = .05L
\((\frac{100}{5})\) (600) = L
L = 12,000
