I didn't understand how did you get this?

(1.0001)2−(0.9999)2=2(0.0002)

Hi...
\((1.0004)(0.9998)-(1.0002)(0.9996)=(1.0001+0.0003)(1.0001-0.0003)-(0.9999+0.0003)(0.9999-0.0003)=\)

\((1.0001^2-0.0003^2)-(0.9999^2-0.0003^2)...\)

\(=> 1.0001^2-0.0003^2-0.9999^2+0.0003^2=1.0001^2-0.9999^2=(1.0001-0.9999)(1.0001+0.9999)=0.0002*2=0.0004\)

Write it in the form of :

(1 + 0.0004)(1-0.0002) - (1+0.0002)(1-0.0004)

If you see, then (a+b)(a-c) - (a+c)(a-b)
= 2ab - 2ac (upon simplification)

here a = 1, b= 0.0004 and c = 0.0002

so value = 2*1*0.0004 - 2*1*0.0002
= 0.0004
