We can approximate the given values in the following manner:
 \frac{7}{8} + \frac{1}{9}  ~  \frac{7}{8} + \frac{1}{8}  ~  \frac{8}{8}  ~ 1

Hence, the expression  \frac{\frac{7}{8} + \frac{1}{9}}{\frac{1}{2}}  becomes  1/{\frac{1}{2}}  = 2

Hence, the correct answer is option A.

Slightly confused by this question as:

7/8 + 1/9 = 57/72

57/72 * 2 = 114/72

3/2 = 108/72
2 = 144/72

So I went with B as the answer is closer to 3/2. Have I missed something?
