* Round 3 is the final deadline for international applicants.** The Admissions Committee requires all applicants seeking a GMAT/GRE waiver to submit requests by the test waiver deadline for each round. Late submissions may be denied or moved to the next round.Enrollment deposit: Once you are admitted and decide to attend UNC Kenan-Flagler, there is a non-refundable enrollment deposit of 1,500 USD, regardless of which round you apply in.

Essay 1 (Required | 250 words)We value the different paths and aspirations that each student brings to the UNC Kenan-Flagler community. Please share your goals for pursuing an MBA, or the path you’re considering, and how they reflect your unique background or perspective.
Essay 2 (Required | 250 words)UNC Kenan-Flagler is guided by four core values that shape who we are:
Impact, Innovation, Inclusion, and Integrity. Which one of these Core Values resonates most deeply with your professional journey? Please share an example that demonstrates how this value has influenced your actions or decisions.
Optional EssayUse this space to share anything that would help the admissions committee better understand you as a candidate, such as:

- Personal achievements or interests
- Any other important context not covered elsewhere in your application.
UNC also includes a
video interview/essay component for invited applicants. It typically consists of timed, recorded responses to randomized behavioral questions focused on leadership, collaboration, and fit with the school's values.
APPLICATION & ADMISSIONSUNC Kenan-Flagler has introduced a new application component: a video essay where applicants introduce themselves and answer a behavioral question. The application process includes transcripts, a GMAT/GRE score or waiver, a resume, one recommendation letter, two written essays, and an interview by invitation. Applicants attending the MBA Spotlight Fair receive an application fee waiver.
CURRICULUM REDESIGNThe MBA program has undergone a curriculum redesign focusing on career pathways and early access to electives. The first year includes a data and technology sequence embedded throughout the curriculum. Students will engage in career preparation through executive presence courses and career pathways like brand management and investment banking.
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNINGKenan-Flagler offers experiential learning opportunities such as the STAR program, where students work in teams on consulting projects with companies like Coca-Cola and Procter & Gamble. Global immersion electives and student-managed funds are also available.
FELLOWSHIPS & SCHOLARSHIPSAll applicants are automatically considered for fellowships, with no additional essays required except for the Better Deans Fellows program. This program offers leadership programming, career support, and a funded global immersion elective. It requires three additional essays for consideration.
CAREERS & OUTCOMESKenan-Flagler graduates pursue careers nationally, with significant opportunities in consulting and investment banking. Career pathways guide students in selecting electives aligned with their career goals. The program supports career pivots and offers off-ramps for students changing career paths.
ADVICE FROM THE SESSIONApplicants are advised to complete the video essay last to avoid repeating information from other application components. Practicing interview skills and refining essays are recommended for reapplicants. The school values community involvement and alignment with its core values of integrity, inclusion, innovation, and impact.
