Go to RSM, chances are most never even heard of Vlerick. Heck, I had to google it.

Many of the classes at RSM will overlap w/ CFA level 1, so you can do both. Doing the CFA is not an excuse to attend a school w/ a zero brand (Vlerick).

If do decide to pick Vlerick, you better be a native Dutch speaker because it's hard to see any int'l firms hiring from there. RSM on the other hands have a strong showing in the city (London), broader global rep and more int'l firms hiring their students.

Ya it's been weirdly difficult to find much insight into Vlerick outside of their own website. I'm surprised it's so highly ranked by the FT, maybe that isn't as important as i'm allowing it to be in my decision. I have been told that french and/or dutch is a must for Vlerick grads which isn't ideal as I have a basic level of French. Thanks for your advice!

RSM is a well known name. I can't say the same about Vlerick... as JohnnyBlaze mentioned as well. Most Master's programs are 1-year... even RSM's MBA is 12 months. It is a bit surprising that the RSM's is a 2-year long program for MFIN but that may be an advantage.... perhaps you can fit in an internship?

Sorry not going to be super helpful :(
Try the current students from both programs and make sure to connect with them rather than just get the basic "nod" or whatever. This is a BIG decision and it will impact the rest of your life pretty significantly. You don't want to be regretting it down the road when things will be tough (they will be tough at both programs by the way, that's just a given) so when things are tough, you want to be certain in your choice and not waiver!

Good Luck!
Congrats!
BB.

Thanks for the advice! RSM is only 2 years for me as I have to complete a premaster year before doing RSM's MSF because my undergraduate degree was lacking in some topics. A 1 year option is nicer but it seems Vlerick isn't the place to be.
