y=5/2*x+c

x intercept = -5 then y = 0
then
0 = 5/2*(-5) + c
c= 25/2 is a constant term y-intercept of the line

c = 25/2

If the x-intercept of line L is -5 and the slope is equal to 5/2, Find the y-intercept of the line L.

A. -2

B. -5/2

C. 2

D. 5/2

E. 25/2

if the slope is 5/2, we know that y moves 5 up as x moves 2 right
because x starts at -5, x needs to move 5 right to the y intercept
thus, 5/2=y/5
2y=25
y intercept=25/2
E
