Isn't answer E? My reasoning: 'with' needs to follow credit, therefore B and E remain B wordy and uses having Thus E is the correct answer

I am not in favor of any specific choice, because source of this problem is showing OA as E. That is why I want to have some discussion on this problem further.
I want to know the difference between OG problem and this problem ? or the OA is not right ?

This question is not an official Q. Thus, just ignore that part. But what it is testing is matching to one OG problem, still its answer is different. Hence, we need a discussion on this whether this problem is flawed or it is testing some important bifurcation.

Shouldn't the answer be option B. Here is how i came to that conclusion. The present perfect tense is used for actions that started in the past but continue into the present, or its effect is still relevant to the present moment, which is the case with our sentence. So i think B "having propelled" should be the answer. Can any of the experts please clarify?

Credit with is the right idiom...you credited xyz with developing new series of smartphones...it means you are giving credit to someone/something. here historians are crediting new deal and world war II with propelling america out of depression. Hope this is clear.
For this reason A, C and D are out
B with "having" propelled...this having is wrong
E it is

Idiomatically, crediting with is better choice than crediting for -remove option A, C, D .
Between B and E, having propelled doesn't make sense ( passive voice when clause is active toned, wordy and too many words).
E is correct.

This post doesn’t clarify my confusion. If “for” is used for acknowledgment, then how would that not be appropriate for this question? Is there a better example for “credit with” aside from financial transactions?
