Lets assume
Orchids :a
Dahlias :b
So, as per question
1.35a +1.8b=18
or
3a+4b=40

from the given option, only
a=8 and b=4 meets the criterion.

This can be solved in another way
suppose we buy only dahlia,
then,
1.8b=18 or b=10
now as for every 3 dahlia we can buy 4 orchid, (as a/b=1.8/1.35=4/3)
so possible solutions are
Orchid= 0, dahlia= 10
Orchid= 4, dahlia= 7
Orchid= 8 dahlia= 4
