Is ax=3-bx?
(1) x(a+b)=3 --> open the brackets: ax + bx = 3 --> re-arrange: ax = 3 - bx. Sufficient.
(2) a=b=1.5 and x=1 --> ax = 1.5*1 = 1.5 and 3 - bx = 3 - 1.5*1 = 1.5 --> LHS = RHS. Sufficient.
Answer: D.

Is \(ax=3-bx\)
Rearranging the question we get;
\(ax + bx =3\)
\(x(a + b) = 3\)
Therefore we need to find If \(x(a + b) = 3\)
(1) \(x(a+b)=3\)
Statement I is Sufficient.
(2) \(a=b=1.5\) and \(x=1\)
\(x(a + b) = 3\)
\(1(1.5 + 1.5) = 3\)
\(3 = 3\) ------- (LHS \(=\) RHS)
Statement II is Sufficient.
Answer (D)...
