Irrespective of the values of x and y, we can find the length of one side of the square = distance between (20,20) and (20,5) = 15.
Area = 15^2 = 225. Hence D.

it is mentioned that it is a square. so from (20,20) and (20,5) one side can be calculated . it is 15 so area of square will be 225.

area = a*a
a=20-5=15
area = 15*15=225

It is not possible to calculate with this info.

On might able to find a length of a side , but when you start plotting these points you wont end up having a square.

IMO E

Notice that it's given that the figure is a square. Would it change your answer?

to find the area of square, length of one side is sufficient
from the coordinates given we can find that one side equals 15
hence area 15 * 15 = 225
option D

Length of one side= 15 (20-5)

Since, its a square, the area will be= 15^2= 225
