It was my 4th GMAT attempt. The first attempt was way back in 2013 so I wouldn't consider it for this review. I had a score of 690 (Q50 V33) on the 2nd attempt. I wanted to apply to the top schools, hence I was a little concerned about the score. I decided to take a retake but due to unavoidable circumstances didn't do well on the 3rd attempt. I wanted to give one final attempt by concentrating on verbal. I used to be active on gmat club and heard about e-gmat verbal prep and had a discount offer in my mail. I took e-gmat verbal live prep because my verbal score was on the lower side.
I started with Sentence Correction. I soon realised that the content was well planned and structured in a way that made learning pretty easy. I followed a routine to complete the content and simultaneously did the assessments, which helped me to get an idea of my strong and weak zones. I used to attend the live classes and workshops as well.
I scored a 730 (Q51 V37) on the 4th attempt.
I wont stretch it any longer. If you feel you're not bad at Verbal but are not able to score well on your mock tests or the actual GMAT, this course is for you. This preparation helped me to reach the correct answer faster than I used to. this helped me to reach the difficult questions faster and afford the time to spend on them. I still don't have a role model score, but I have just enough to give you all a hope who need that wee bit extra in verbal to cross the 700 mark.
The guys at e-gmat are amazing. Their response time to your queries will amaze you. Krishna can be a bother at times ;). I must applaud Shraddha for the SC section.
Practice hard but dont run like a bull. Planning and strategising are important. How to tackle the exam is as important as knowing the right answers. Well this is not the most structured review. Kindly bear with me on this as it was a sudden flow of emotions that I have tried to articulate.
I am very happy with the two e-GMAT Verbal Online courses that I used (SC & CR). This courses were important tools in my path from 30V to 40V in 3 months.
I decided to take these online courses after some research on the web and how it was rated for non-native speakers like me. The reviews were right! The videos and the sources that I found there were very easy to understand and gave me an effective approach to face verbal questions.
Finally, despite some problems with the speed of the videos I found that the platform was very friendly. I definitely recommend this course to complement the preparation for GMAT of any non-native speaker.
E-Gmat proved to be pivotal in me getting a V39 on the eventual GMAT exam. It is a good starting point for international students. All the concepts were explained clearly and the videos proved to be a very good tool to learn.
I also liked the concept of scholaranium and the analyses provided after each test. The ability to track my performance after 5-6 tests really helped me identify my weaknesses.
The tests after each section or topic were also very helpful, I just wish that the questions in scholaranium were not a repeat of the questions that I had already practiced as that didn't reflect the correct score that I should have achieved.
Overall, I would definitely recommend any non native speakers to go for the EGMAT verbal course.
Being a non native I was struggling to improve score in verbal. When I started the course my score used to be 20 in mocks. E-GMAT verbal online course clears the concepts in very structured fashion. Questions during and after completion of each topic helps in strenthening the concepts. There is huge data of questions which cover all variety of GMAT questions. The solution provided to these question is again very well defined and practising these questions train your brain to start solving questions in correct pattern and right solution. e-GMAT verbal online course is very good for Indian students. I improved score in verbal with 17 points in just 20 days of preparation.
Verbal Gmat is a great asset and helped me study with more focus and precision. It allowed me to be immersed in the world of the GMAT Verbal and understand the dynamics of the questions types as well the nuances required to master the questions.
The live sessions were great and helped reinforce skills learned in the lectures. The good thing about it is that , these lectures and live sessions give context to the GMAT material so they become more alive and your can absorb it better. I found that when reading the books, it became a bit boring but with visual learning you do absorb the material much better.

I took the GMAT on 19th August and scored a 710 on my first attempt. Hence I would like to thank e-GMAT for the valuable support. I took the e-GMAT verbal online course and also attended most of the highly attended free online sessions. The instruction style at e-GMAT is perfectly suited for people who want to prepare at their own pace and convenience. The quizzes before each module helped me gauge my current skill level and the final quiz after the module demonstrated a clear and tangible improvement. I feel that this course is ideal for people like me who are non-native English speakers.
I enrolled for Magoosh premium course after faltering on my second attempt at GMAT. The course material is excellent with good video lessons. It also explicitly covers many concepts, such as If vs Whether, etc, which cause maximum confusion to students.
The practice problems are representative of the actual test, especially for quant I found the practice questions even better than those of Manhattan. But the main plus pointer for me was its support service, which was prompt and to the point. Its tutors were extremely helpful and Magoosh has many good blogs written which are quite helpful as they provide un parallel insights for GMAT preparation.
Overall, I must say this is the course which gives the best ROI.
I have reviewed verbal course materials from many other sources before I decided to purchase e-GMAT verbal prep. This course definitely designed for non-natives. The course starts with basic fundamentals which I had forgotten over the period of the time. E-GMAT SC course provides step by step guidance on how to crack SC accurately and efficiently. The instructor teaches very well on how to break the sentences / paragraph and take benefit of few other techniques to solve RC, CR. The instructors are very nice and have patience for the students. I found the course is very affordable too. As it’s an online course, it gives me the flexibility to read at my own pace and time.
I strongly recommend to upcoming GMAT takers to explore e-GMAT courses for GMAT preparation.
I took a mock gmat 8 months back and wasn't surprised to find out that my main weakness was Verbal. Being an engineer, I was good in Quant. Hence I wanted a course that can strengthen the foundations required for cracking Verbal. After a lot of research, I found that verbal online course offered by e-gmat was the most suitable and cost effective for me.
Currently I am giving my practice tests and am able to consistently score above 700.
This increase is definitely due to the improvement that I have managed to make in my verbal score.
A few things that I loved about their Verbal strategies:
1) They emphasize on understanding the meaning of the sentence first and then identifying the error and then looking at the answer choice (earlier I used to directly look at the answer choices which would increase my confusion).
Also understanding the meaning helps especially in solving harder gmat questions as gmat often misuses certain words such as modifiers or change the voice of the sentence to correct the error but change the meaning.
Also a separate grammar section at the very beginning was very helpful to clear the basics. I think this part is very useful for the non natives.
2) In CR, they follow a unique approach of forming the Logical structure of the argument which helps identifying the scope & assumptions of the argument. Also pre-thinking helps you understand the argument better and weed out incorrect answer choices easily.
3) In RC, their approach of summarizing the topic really helped me solve questions with accuracy as it is very easy to get overloaded with information especially in humanity/history passages.
Overall I am very satisfied with the Verbal content.
I highly recommend Verbal to any non native who is struggling. They also offer some free concepts on their website where you can see first hand the quality of their resources.
Best wishes

After enrolling in e-gmat Verbal Live Prep 2 years ago I again signed up (at 50 % cost ) as I wanted to give one more try to GMAT; along with that I signed for e-gmat Quant Live Prep which was not there 2 years back . My last Official GMAT Quant score was 39 (44 in Mocks ) , I found it difficult to increase my GMAT Quant score above 45 . I was preparing my GMAT Quant from Indian CAT books and found some topics such as Inequality , Absolute value , Numbers etc difficult (as they were not covered well ) . After signing up for e-gmat Quant Live Prep I read theory and application files , there is a lot of course material which is new to me ( I did not read from Indian CAT books ). E-gmat people have really done their homework well by covering all the topics adequately , they have also file of topic-wise Official Guide Questions to be solved . I hope to increase my Official Quant Score to 49 to get the optimal GMAT score . I regularly attend live sessions which are very helpful to clear any doubts . E-gmat Team is very helpful and easily accessible for query . Recommended for Non-natives who do not have required training in standardized testing and natives whose Quant skills need improvement .
