Hello Everyone,

I am a non native GMAT aspirant from Engineering background.
Hence, being from engg. background, I had little or no issues with the PS & DS (Maths) part.
Nonetheless, I had serious issues with verbal part(specially sentence correction).
Its a win-win situation for non natives.

Then I took e-GMAT course and thing started to change henceforth. I improved my error finding on SC questions, my overall reading and understanding skill improved significantly.

This is a good course and an excellent one for non natives. The course has been divided onto 3 to 4 main topics -each focussing on various aspects/topics of S0 that even a laymen could understand and improve.

Great value, but not a standalone prep course

Course Magoosh Premium

Magoosh is a really affordable, easy to use, even fun prep site for the GMAT. Each question has a thorough, easy to understand answer explanation in both text and video form. New tests are automatically generated, so I was able to take a test each day for 2 months leading up to my exam. When I started I was probably at a 650 skill level and I ended up getting a 750.

The only complaint I have about Magoosh is that the questions, especially in the Quant section, are slightly easier than the actual test. They do offer a selection of "Very Hard" rated questions that are good to practice with, but there are too few of them. For example, there were only 3 Very Hard Algebra problems.

I would highly recommend Magoosh to anyone studying for the GMAT, but I would recommend complementing it with another resource, like a Kaplan book, or practice tests. I would also urge Magoosh to add to their question bank, especially the Very Hard questions.

e-GMAT is an excellent source for preparing Verbal section of GMAT. The SC and CR are the best - with explanations to simple as well as complex concepts, and the step process of splitting the long sentence to different clauses and attacking each clause separately is awesome. In addition the audio explanation of OG solutions following e-gmat method is really helpful as it solidifies the SC concepts learned in different sections of the course. I hope e-gmat ADD's few more audio explanations of OG questions.
I will recommend this course to everyone who is preparing for GMAT or otherwise who wants to improve on his or her writing skills.

It's great! I registered for EGMAT Platform 2.0 in the month of September 2014. As I had already been familiar with the earlier version of EGMAT Verbal Online course, I can say that there is a great difference between these two platforms. The current platform (Platform 2.0) includes significant changes in terms of concepts which are now much more comprehensive, detailed and synthesized.

Frankly, various quizzes such as pre-assessment quiz and post-assessment quiz, for each topic / sub-topic, really boosts your confidence. Undoubtedly, the course and its constant learning works as an effective tool for a fair understanding of the concepts.

I am really pleased to be a student of EGMAT and would recommend every GMAT test-taker to be a student of the Verbal Online course - both Sentence Correction techniques as well as Critical Reasoning analysis would be a great guide to build a strong foundation.

After getting a below par score in Verbal on my 1st attempt in GMAT I decided to go for Egmat course after attending a strategy session. Egmat course is a comprehensive guide available for GMAT verbal preparation. Sentence Correction course helped me to focus on meaning rather than to focus only on Grammar. I was weak in Verbal and so took more efforts and also went through the MGMAT guides. The workshops, seminars and strategy session helped me to focus on areas of improvement.

Critical Reasoning course and Sentence Correction course is beautifully compiled and improvements are visible after going through the sessions. I recommend anyone who wants to improve his or her Verbal score to take this course. It will boost your GMAT score for sure.

Thank you Egmat for your contribution in my 730 score.

I was struggling with fully grasping and applying many of the quant concepts even after going through a series of books more than once.

I was very reluctant to pay $1 000 plus for another course so I went with the much cheaper option of Magoosh and I am so glad I did! The Magoosh videos were clear and perfectly paced with just the right amount of detail and background. The whole series was wonderfully laid out and organized. I appreciated the opportunities to pause the videos and do a practice problem. I also liked that the video would often mention how likely a concept was to appear on the GMAT.

My GMAT quant score percentile improved from 63% to 79% in under a month and I am confident it is thanks to Magoosh! This got me a 750 total score and makes me much more confident about my applications.

I 100% recommend Magoosh - excellent quality and superb value!

I scored a 660 in gmat and for the retake decided to take magoosh as it was the most cost effective option! For 99 dollars I got everything, literally EVERYTHING from fundamentals to tips and tricks etc.

The way they explain everything in detail with absolute clarity is brilliant! I love the way the solutions to questions are provided.

If you are still confused I would suggest go for the free trial and you ll know what i am talking about.

There response i to all your questions via mail is also very quick and appropriate.

In addition they have also provided a score guarantee of 50 points.

I would say taking magoosh was a very very good decision!

I had previously enrolled for the Verbal Live package - great content but lacked the personal touch. Upon recommendation of a couple of folks who had taken the GMAT recently, I upgraded to the Verbal Live prep which I found immensely useful. Rajat and Payal really help you with your thought process in a simplistic manner in SC.

The CR course really helped get my thought process right and fixed my CR basics problem.

Waiting to get my hands on the their workshops and polish my SC and CR skills further. Will write in a detailed review post my attempt scheduled for later this month.

e-GMAT Verbal Online Review & My Experience -

Course e-GMAT 6M Focus

In my first GMAT attempt, I scored good on Quant but failed to get the right score to be close to 90th percentile. In my search of the right GMAT verbal material for me, after 3 hops, I decided to give a try to eGMAT Verbal Online course. I had read about its speciality for non natives and since the course team was from my home country, I was optimistic, it would correctly tune to help me achieve confidence and correct answers in GMAT verbal. As I started through the course, I began to appreciate the way it is designed and was convinced this is the right one for me.
Areas I liked about the course -
a. Audio Visual concepts - helps me decide the pace and gives me time flexibility.
b. Detail course - The basics are covered in good detail. This forms a good base, required to approach SC.
c. Good team support - e-GMAT team is very courteous and responds promptly for all email inquiries.
d. Continuous Improvements - Recently they launched a new version of the Verbal course and it is definitely an improvement and also has good number of new questions.

In my opinion, the key is to find the right material for you and not just the best one in the market. e-GMAT is one of the best courses for Verbal and also has a comprehensive section for IR.

One area of improvement is they should add mock GMAT tests and I believe they are working on it.

I am happy to enrol into this course and would strongly recommend it, especially to non natives.

E-Gmat - Great improvement in SC CR & RC

After appearing in mock test to see check my level, I found that in GMAT verbal I was scoring around 23-25. I had decent 48-49 scores in quants, so I knew that in quants I had to improve only in the areas where I make mistakes, which I could do by myself. The main difference in my score was because of failure to score consistently on SC and CR. My RC was decent right from the beginning. After scoring a disastrous 610 in my first GMAT I bought e-gmat Verbal Online. I had heard about e-gmat and had read a lots of positive reviews. As a non-native speaker I found that I needed to strengthen my basics in SC and CR.

I am going to appear in the GMAT exam for the second time in a month's time. After preparing from e-gmat Verbal Online, I can see a tremendous increase in my speed and accuracy in both SC and CR. The SC has gone from 60% accuracy to >90%. The CR has gone from 50% to >80%. My RC accuracy is >80%. With this accuracy, more practice, and increased speed, I hope to score 700+ in my upcoming exam in a month. Now my verbal score is 30+. My target is to score 40 in verbal.

After one finishes the basic contents of the material, I would advise all the test takers to not only practice harder materials from other sources such as 800-score and GMATClub, but also keep on revising the basics from e-gmat, which is the key for firm grasp of the basics. Having proactive basics in verbal always helps in decreasing the time to solve the problem.
