I started my preparation with the Official guide. However, very soon my prep was all over the place, I mean complete haywire. I realized I needed a course to add rigor and a good structure to my prep. While exploring various resources, I signed up for GMATWhiz’s free trial. The way the whole course was designed was so impressive that after using it for just 2 days out of the 7 days free trial period, I went ahead to subscribe the course.
Signing up for the GMATWhiz was probably one of the best decisions of my life that I am never going to regret. It made my dream come true. This time my preparation was a lot more structured as I just had to follow my study plan. The AI took care of everything and made my life quite easy. GMATWhiz allows you to customize your study plan based on number of hours you can weekly devote and the choice of section you want to start with. I was assigned weekly tasks as per my schedule and I only had to focus on doing those. And the good news is I could very smoothly switch between Quant and Verbal as per my wish.
There was no more of “WHAT to do?” or “HOW to do it?” on my mind and only “DO it.” The diagnostic tests before starting every topic helped to evaluate whether I need to spend much time in learning that particular topic or straightaway move to the practise questions. There is a keen focus on learning the right methods for application of concepts learnt in their course. If I did not score well, the AI immediately provided me with the concept boosters for the topics in which I was struggling and added content along with quizzes based on the same. All I had to do is accept the personalisation and the AI added everything automatically to the plan. There is no need to take any mental notes or do self-analysis. Whiz Quiz was truly a striking feature where you get to see your score in percentile, difficulty level and even performance in each topic. Those customised quizzes and constant tracking of the dashboard on GMATWhiz portal which shows performance graph and predicted score, helped me move in the right direction by working on my weak areas.
Whiz 2.0 Core weakness analysis functioned as a true game changer as it saved a lot of prep time, and I could simply focus on working on my weak areas then and there. The Whiz 2.0 also helped me to track my progress and analyse my performance. I knew topic wise where I need to solidify my learning and where fine tuning is to be done. Also, it helped me identify the kind of questions or topics that I am solving quickly and where I need to work on my timing. The key is to focus on quality and not quantity.
After completing around 80% of the coursework, when I started giving mocks, I realised that the official GMAT mocks seemed easier compared to the GMATWhiz mocks. GMATWhiz mocks are a bit on the higher side of difficulty level. In fact, their verbal is more challenging than actual GMAT. My highest GMATWhiz mock score was 750(Q50 V41), however, I ended up getting a higher score i.e., 770 with V44 which is amazing in just 2 months of preparation. So, basically, if you are able to fare well in those GMATWhiz mocks, you are probably going to rock your GMAT exam.
I can firmly vouch that GMATWhiz lesson videos are enough to prepare you for come what may (For people from non-math background as well for even topics such as Permutation & Combination and Probability). The Meaning based approach for SC and Framework driven pre-thinking for CR helped me do well on RC (which was the weakest area for me) and in turn, enabled me to master the Verbal Section overall.
Before GMATWhiz, the approach was pretty much random for me. I was clueless how exactly to about my GMAT prep. But GMATWhiz introduced a structure and direction to my prep which helped me ace my GMAT prep. It was all so smooth.

I was doing most of my studying in the early morning and really wanted to continue that routine, so it was nice to find a tutor who was awake at that time as well!
Bransen started out each session by going over the homework that I had in between sessions and then going over new topics. I was really struggling with verbal, but Bransen gave me a lot of great pointers regarding how to tackle CR and the RC section, which were my weakest areas. I kept his pointers in mind during my second attempt, but was just super nervous and got two hrs of sleep the night before. I also switched my testing order last minute which is a no-no. Needless to say, I didn't do too hot on the verbal section the second time around, but KILLED the quant section (50Q).
Bransen was very encouraging leading up to my 3rd attempt and gave me pointers on how to be successful the 3rd time around.
I kept reviewing GMAT-like questions and all the GMAT Ninja worksheets that Bransen gave me, slept for 8 hours every day leading up to the exam and kept my usual testing order. I'm happy to say that I jumped up to a 41 in Verbal and am so glad to be done with this exam. Thanks Bransen so much for your help!

The entire material is very thoughtful designed and the concepts are also taught very well. I mostly used the material to learn Verbal concepts and also for the mock tests. You can very well rely on this material and start your GMAT prep and if you are able to complete all of this, then I think you should be in a good spot. But most importantly, official GMAT material takes precedence over this. This can be used in case if you want to learn or relearn concepts and practice more questions in case you have exhausted all your official GMAT material.

The course was very comprehensive and extremely user-friendly! I've been out of school for a while and really needed to review basic Math fundamentals. Every concept you need to know for the GMAT was explained really well and the tips and tricks that were provided (especially for harder topics such as stats, probability and overlapping sets) were golden! You can never go wrong with the matrix set-up that's taught for handling mixtures and overlapping sets questions.

I started my GMAT journey with a group class, a type of "one size fits all" kind of class. 5 weekends later, I realized my money wasn't served well since the whole point of that course was to learn tricks... I took the GMAT twice with the same score, I was only wasting my time.

I learnt about TTP from a coach that highly recommended it, since most of the students he's placed at top 10 MBAs went through TTP for their GMAT journey. I tried the 1 dollar trial, and loved the structure and how easy it was to start studying.

At TTP, you can put your target score, which I specified as a 700-730 range. After 4 months of studying and going through the accelerated plan, I managed to score a 720. I loved how specific the study plan gets for both the quant and verbal sections, which allowed me to really learn the topics and be ready for exam day.

Highly recommended for those who are currently overwhelmed when thinking of how to start to study for the exam. All you need to do is put hours into it.

I started my GMAT journey back in 2019 on my own. With the help of official Guide, GMAT club and Veritas mock test, I was able to score 710 on my first attempt. It gave me the confidence that I could score higher with a little extra effort. But after 2 more attempts in 2020 (720 and 710 again), I found myself unable to break the 720 barrier. I started my GMAT journey with Jamboree (2.5 months class program) in early 2020 when I was planning to apply for deferred programs. After the course completion, it provides the students with a post-course study plan which I followed diligently and scheduled my exam in March 2020 considering myself well prepared. However, the study plan, being a static one, did not help me as I could barely identify the topics that I was weak at and had put no special effort into any topic being unaware of my weak areas. As a result, I could not hit my target score of 700+. It was only after reviewing my attempt I realized that the course didn’t help a lot me strategically and I needed a more structured prep along with a study plan that actually adapts to my progress
Deciding to write the GMAT again sometime in 2021 after giving my prep more time, I started exploring some online courses for my retake amidst the pandemic where almost everything turned virtual. I used TTP primarily for quant and saw an improvement from Q44 to Q48 in roughly 3 months of 3-4 hours of practice a week. The concepts were well explained, and if I had put in a bit more effort, I'm certain I would have hit Q50. My weakest area was number properties, and TTP's content in that first module is extensive! I also think the video explanations for each practice question are invaluable, as they showed me how to change my thinking around certain question types. I didn't finish the material, stopped halfway due to work, and decided to just get the GMAT done with, and got a good score so ended my GMAT journey.

I started my Gmat journey in August 2021 with a score of 720 (Q50 V38) . Quant was decently strong for me to begin with. However, SC and RC were a real struggle.

Fast forward to June 2022 I enrolled in eGmat course mainly for Verbal. The meaning based approach for SC and the overall modular structure of Verbal was really impressive. Also, the Scholarium dashboard provides deep insights into the areas that can be improved, the "low hanging fruits". Scholarium helped me gauge my weighted accuracy (Easy,Medium,Hard) at 70%. The PreThinking approach in CR was essential to identify patterns and to improve accuracy and ability to solve Hard 700+ level questions.

The SigmaX mocks are very close to official mocks and give a detailed review of sub-sectional performances, including optimal timing indicator. I scored a v39 in first mock and a v43 in the second mock. On my actual test day I scored a v40 , in the range indicated by sigma x mocks.

egmat Verbal is very well balanced for anyone aspiring to crack the Gmat.
