E-gmat verbal was excellent! The course helped me break down complex sentence structures, critical thinking questions, and RC passages I took for granted. Mastering the basic building blocks helped me navigate tricky GMAT verbal questions.

SC
Using English in a daily/ professional setting is not enough. The GMAT tests grammar to the tiniest detail and e-gmat helps you recognise these tricky traps. My SC improvement was among the question types that raised my score.

CR
E-gmat helped me identify question patterns among CR questions, making this section a lot more manageable.

RC
E-gmat was helpful for the basics you can't ignore when evaluating the key messages /inferences in the passage.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this course. I took the online course and it was well worth it! Kudos!! I wish I took this course earlier and had more time to practice with it :)

Accepted into top choice MBA school -- with a FULL scholarship!!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I was rushing to submit my applications for R1 and I only had 4 weeks to draft several compelling essays! My GMAT was a median score, so I was quite stressed and frankly overwhelmed with the amount of work to be done.. it was a slow start.

I stumbled upon Applicant Lab on the GMAT club and read good reviews. I thought I would give it a try since at this point, I had to use my time very efficiently.

Applicant Lab was very helpful in directing my energies towards productive brainstorming, drafting and final editing. There was also a diagnostic section in the beginning that assessed my profile and gave specific instructions how I can strengthen my application i.e. given a median GMAT vs. really smart people all around the world. This encouraged me and helped me craft a compelling and targeted story.

Maria is very hands-on and helpful. I loved the videos as it makes her come to life, like the 'MBA Alumni Friend' you could bother! Of course I reached our to other MBA alumni for advice on my applications, but they are obviously very busy people and I couldn't bother them on the details. Maria (through applicant lab) gave me the nitty gritty for each essay/ recommendation question on my application and wow- this was mighty helpful!

Fast forward several weeks after, I got into my top choice school - INSEAD with a FULL scholarship!! Using the applicant lab 'frameworks' and Maria's advice on my scholarship essays were a big help. I couldn't be happier and I would definitely recommend Applicant Lab in a blink of an eye. :)

Thank you Maria! You are doing amazing things.

Hi. Congrats on your admission and the exceptional full ride. I am also a client of applicantlab, but I have not seen any advice regarding scholarships on the lab. Where and how did you get Maria's advice on your scholarship essays? Have you paid her extra money to get a personal advice? How much was the fee?

e-gmat Quant

I took the e-gmat online prep for quant and it was very useful in getting me reacquainted with math concepts after a hiatus of not using them so much at work.

I did not watch the videos according to the prescribed course flow as I thought I already mastered the other concepts... but I was wrong! Watching the other E-gmat quant videos gave me a different perspective -- faster ways to solve tricky math problems. The techniques came in handy and helped me manage my time better when the test came.

Unfortunately, I did not spend as much time practicing the quant compared to the verbal. This had its consequences when I took the exam.

If i had to do it all over again, I would follow e-gmat's recommended course syllabus and spent more time mastering/training on the core concepts.

Would recommend e-gmat to students doing self-prep at home! Just make sure to manage your study time wisely to make the most of the course :)

Course Manhattan Prep MGMAT Self-Study Toolkit

Location Online

Manhattan is one of the best Quant resources to practice with. The self study basics kit had the tricky questions of the GMAT pinned down. Learning the question patterns helped me recognize question traps on the GMAT. Very good practice resource especially for those aiming to score 700+.

The verbal review of Manhattan was also above average. However, it may not be as detailed as the math sections.

I recommend the Manhattan self prep for those targeting Gmat scores above 700. Also, the self study tool is helpful in tracking progress and mistakes throughout the review process. If you are an independent and disciplined individual, self study prep would be perfect for you! It is cheaper, but just as effective.

Good luck!
