aaditya0893 - if you analyze Shekhar's ESRs, you would realize that he made mistakes in his first attempt because he did not have time left for the last block of questions. In his 660-attempt, he had approx. 1 minute left per question in both Quant and Verbal.
For his second attempt, Shekhar understood how to apply concepts to solve questions. That brought time to answer questions down. in his own words
Quote:
I was ok with my grammar but had no clue of the principles and reasons on which these questions were framed
How should you go about this exercise?
People make mistakes because they lack ability or time or both. In Shekhar's case, lacking time was his primary problem (ability was a close second though). You have to decide what is pulling you back and focus on that.
Once you fix the cause, timing takes care of itself. Take a look at how Rohit improved from missing 7 questions and scoring V27 to completing the Verbal section on time and scoring V41.
