Need a 700+, ideally a 720+ to have a good chance at some of the schools on your list.
Good luck!

Thank you all for your comments! I had shortlisted these schools before I had given the exam. Can you guys suggest some schools that I should be safe to apply to?

Hello Rid21sa

Shortlisting schools is an art, just like your essays and requires one to go through a complete discovery process.
Any information at this stage and with this limited information is going to be pure speculation.
So, while I understand your situation, one needs to understand many more 'qualitative' details from you and answers to questions you may not have asked yourself yet.
Should you have further questions, let me know.

Despite scoring much higher on practice tests, I got a 650 on the GMAT after appearing for it twice. Quant - 48, Verbal- 32. Analytical Writing - 5, IR- 7

GMAT: 650
GPA: 3.3 (CGPA- 7.53)
Did my engineering in Information Technology from a top university in India.
Did my entire schooling from the Middle East.
Work experience: 4+ years at a software firm in India. Received one company wide award and 2 promotions. Performed multiple roles within the same profile: worked on my basic job role, became the first scrum master of my team and implemented the scrum process in our india team for the first time, take part in interview and on boarding process, part of a green initiative in office.
I've also been a part of an NGO since the past 2.5 years and I am the head of one of the projects there.
I've know basic French but don't have a certification in it.
Certified in Tableau and basic analytics.

Schools I'm Considering:
1) Melbourne Business School
2) Rotman School of Management
3) Duke - Fuqua
4) Columbia Business School
5) Rotterdam School of Management
6) Nanyang Business School
7) ISB

I'm skeptical about applying to universities in the US due to the ongoing visa issues.

What do you think my chances are at these schools? I'm hoping my GPA can offset the lower than average GMAT score. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Hi Rid21sa,

Apologies for the delay in responding to you but we hope this finds you in time still.

While your GPA looks fine, we are afraid it may not be enough to compensate for your below average GMAT.

Considering the schools you are targetting, we strongly recommend a GMAT retake! :-)

All the best!
