A) A large praetorian bureaucracy filled with ambitious and is filled with often sycophantic people makes work and makes trouble
B) a large praetorian bureaucracy filled from ambitious and often sycophantic people makes work and makes trouble
C) a large praetorian bureaucracy filled with ambitious and often sycophantic people make work and make trouble
D) a large praetorian bureaucracy filled with ambitious and often sycophantic people makes work and makes trouble
E) a large praetorian bureaucracy filled with ambitious and often sycophantic people makes work and trouble

What not E?

What is the source :?: The Question looks incomplete to me :(

Choose E over D for its succinctness

If I guess between D and E, I would go with E for concision. Can someone explain difference in meaning between D and E?

(D)

A) A large praetorian bureaucracy filled with ambitious and is filled with often sycophantic people makes work and makes trouble --> Error in parallelism
B) a large praetorian bureaucracy filled from ambitious and often sycophantic people makes work and makes trouble --> It should be 'filled with'
C) a large praetorian bureaucracy filled with ambitious and often sycophantic people make work and make trouble --> Error in subject-verb agreement
D) a large praetorian bureaucracy filled with ambitious and often sycophantic people makes work and makes trouble --> Correct. subject-verb agreement & parallelism
E) a large praetorian bureaucracy filled with ambitious and often sycophantic people makes work and trouble --> Error in parallelism

Request you not to write your queries/answers/opinions in question window. It prevents ppl from analysing the question. The whole purpose of GMAT Club forum goes wasted by doing so.

You have response windows to do all such things.

Not parallelism, but the stress is over contrasting terms work & trouble.

I select D too.

I think "makes A and B" is more concise than "makes A and makes B"

I went with D too because it is more clear. It is a confusing question.
