Daagh Sir was a Legend, intellectual, and SC guru.
He was so humble.
It is a great loss to the GMAT community.

Death is inevitable people are remembered for the legacy they leave behind. Daagh sir is no more yet despite this his post is still alive tomorrow, the day after that, or on some other day, anyone can come and appreciate his post and thank him for his work that he did. I won't tell RIP I believe he is still alive through his post.

I used to struggle a lot with SC and in beginning I could not understand his posts but once I got the grip of his writing style I found what a treasure his posts are! It aches my heart that we would no longer be able to get his insights on new posts but his contribution to club has changed so many lives.
I will try my best to contribute at least half as good as he did.

Oh my God....just read this. I am at a loss of words. daagh Sir was such a noble person.

The only silver lining to this is that it seems he was quite active till the end. Really shocking...:(.

Dear GMAT Club Members,

It is with a heavy heart and deep regret that I have to share the news that one of the most humble and helpful members of GMAT Club, daagh, has left this world; passed away in October 2020. It is a sad day on GMAT Club. I have only received one brief message from his daughter (via PM of his account) who has informed me about his passing in October 2020. I have tried to reach her with further questions but without success. My last communication with Daagh was in August when, as usual, I was asking him about some help with AWA forum and he mentioned that he was getting treatment and would not be available for about a month and asked to ping him after that.... never did I think that would be the last time I would speak with Narendran. Death is a cruel thing. Rest in peace Daagh. We all miss you and the memory of you will always live on GMAT Club.

Daagh joined GMAT Club in 2007 and left a legacy of over 5,000 posts and 25,000 kudos. He was often a part of the very exclusive Top 10 members of the Month group. Daagh served as a GMAT Club moderator for several years and helped numerous test-takers. He has spent some of his time doing one of the hardest and most thankless jobs - moderating the AWA forum and answering essay questions. I still remember speaking to him for the first time after he became a moderator. I asked him about his application plans. He chuckled at me and said - "I am Old BB, I am not applying to business school". He was laughing at my naivite. He was in his 60's. If you have a story or a memorable experience with Daagh, please consider sharing it in this tribute topic.

P.S. If anyone has any other ideas on how to honor Daagh, feel free to suggest them here or PM me.
Thank you.
BB.

May his soul rest in peace, he is free of ailments now. He will always be remembered for his superb explanations, which has helped out countless number of students here. A suggestion to honor and remember him could be to have a contest of the questions containing his best explanations, that way even though he is no longer with us, he will always live on through his posts. We carry on his legacy!

Can't believe this is real...... daagh always has the most precise and straight forward explanation for SC questions, he helped me a lot.
Rest in peace Daagh Sir.

I find it difficult to believe that he's passed away. His explanations always emerged as a ray of hope when the gmat prep got tough. Even though I never talked to him personally I was always able to feel strongly connected with him. Daagh is a true legend , several thousand students owe their success to this man who selflessly answered the most naive of questions with absolute humility. Notice that I used the word 'is' . I dont believe that he's really gone, his explanations will continue to help several thousands of students to come and his memory will be etched on the gmat club forum for years to come. Daagh ! Wherever you find yourself to be .. I wish you peace and happiness.

This is such a sad news. May his soul rest in peace. I got an opportunity to speak with him this year in May. He told me that he isn’t well. He said that he will be available from June. I never thought that the things were this serious. This is a big loss for all of us as a GMAT Club community. RIP daagh
