I am applying to Alberta this year for the 2016 Intake and just have my statement of intent to finish. Should be applying within the next 15 days. Anyone else out there applying for the 2016 intake?

Hi, I got an Admit from Alberta. Has anyone else got till now ? I assume many applicants will get admit before Dec-24, as the vacation period starts.

Thanks Manoj. No I didn't get any mail reg transcripts (I already mailed them the individual one's). I got an entrance award for 5k - hope it will be given to all admits Please keep updated if you hear anything from Alberta.

log2srini one more thing.Are you asked to pay a security deposit?If so,can you tell me how much and the timeline for submission of the same?

Yes, 500 CAD before Jan 22 (that's almost 1 month from result date).

Have you applied anywhere else?....Are you planning to pursue in Alberta...Have you spoken to any students from Alberta?

No, I haven't decided yet. Just going through Singapore colleges. what about you? Have you applied/planning for any other university other than Alberta ?

I have an admit from John Molson and an interview with Sauder scheduled. Will take a call based on Sauder Interview

Hi Manoj, Got a feedback from Chris today. Made sense. Hello Chinmay, There were some strong aspects to your application, along with some areas of concern. The biggest concern our admission committee had with your application was overall fit. The two areas you are interested in entering (Investment Banking and Asset Management) are very difficult areas to enter, especially for individuals that don't have Canadian experience in these areas. Alberta (Edmonton and Calgary) is not a hotbed for these types of positions. I don't know what other schools you are considering, but I would suggest targeting schools around Toronto if you are looking to study in Canada. Thanks, Chris Lynch
