Are you asking about this? 'Do you have any external awards, scholarships, a sponsored funding you expect to receive?' I've stated 'No' as I am not expecting to get anything apart from what UofA would give me. So respond accordingly. If say you are getting a sponsorship from the company you work for, then the answer would be 'Yes'. Hope that helps.

All admits and experienced , I asked for recommendation from my clients . One of my international client , did recommend me strongly in all other parts of the recommendation letter. However he put something -ve on the weakness part. How far do you think this will affect my application ? ' In his desire to deliver solutions on time XXX sometimes was less strong in challenging us ( the customer ) , in terms of why are we operating in a certain way. This is one of the hardest skill of a consultant to push back in the right way. On occasion XXX did do this well, which shows , he has the ability but sometime came up with solutions around the problem which might have been solved by running the business in a different way ' Will this be sarcastic to my application ? As all of us know generally in a long project( 1.5 year) sometimes something wrong may happen . Also we can't always challenge the client and say that their business process is wrong. However I am not sure how it will be perceived by the adcom.

I believe you should be allright. Plus what is done is done.No point sitting over it.In case you do get to the interview stage, and they make this a point to ask you or if they ask you a weakness question, you could show the adcom as to how you have gotten over such sitautions.Hope that helps

In contrast to your fretting, I believe a balanced view about your personality will give the reference more authenticity. Most of the LORs you will find giving all goody goody rhetoric, which schools are pretty much aware of and tend to discount. Don't worry that your referee has mentioned a limitation of yours. In fact use this limitation to explain how an MBA will help you improve yourself. Nobody is perfect and don't try to give an impression to be one. If you were, you wouldn't be pursuing an MBA. Quite frequently interviewers ask you to speak about your weaknesses and so its better to be ready with couple of them to speak about. All the best for your applications.

Completely agree with this view. In fact, I have been asking my referees to definitely write about my negatives and weaknesses. It makes the recommendation more authentic and helps get a better understanding of you. Work on how you can present this well to the adcom during the interview. Get ready with examples on how you have improved. You should be glad he has given an honest take on you, it definitely helps. All the very best.
