Hi,

Indian engineer applicant here. I submitted by application in R2.
It is still showing up as 'submitted' and has not gone 'under review'.
With a lot of people getting admissions, and the rest having received interview calls, is it time to give up hope?

I forgot to ask this in my previous post.. can you give me the date on which u received the interview invite and what does your application status show now on the portal?

I got the invite on Feb 5. There is no change in my application status. It just continues to show "submitted". Good luck and hang in there!

admisra, I was accepted last week and my application status still says, "Submitted." I don't think there is any reason to panic. It looks like at least one interview invite went out today, so don't lose hope. Good luck!

I'm a 29y/o female US/french citizen with 5 years of work experience in tech start-ups (2 of them in France).
710 GMAT and a master from a good french university

When I tried to register for the interview, the offline skype option for week 9 and 10 was very full but there were still a lot of slots open for the interview on campus.

Good luck to everyone

Agreed but as she said the skype interview slots are filled up and only on campus interviews are left.. It kinda seems the window for international applicants is closing. :( :( :(
Guessing UCLA is over for me.

Thanks Ae1203 and MBAreapplicant.

Daksha, I can't see anything beyond week 10 because it doesn't let you schedule anything 2 weeks beyond when you receive the invite. SO it's totally possible that there are spots open for week 11 or week 12 that I can't see. Don't lose hope!

Really hope to get accepted to UCLA. It has been a tough year with five dings, two after interviews. The waiting is not fun whatsoever.

That is tough. Hang in there. You will a get good news hopefully :)

Hello Applicants,

I am currently a student in one of UCLA Anderson's MBA programs. Deciding to attend UCLA Anderson was a terrible decision for me and I feel like if I had more accurate information, I would not have made this decision. In the next few weeks when all of you are making your decision, I want to be a resource for you so that you do not make the same mistake that I did. I will post about the rankings, administration, professors, culture, etc. Please stay tuned, and thank you for your patience.

1. UCLA Anderson is a school that is heading in the wrong direction
As you can see that after Dean Judy Olian was appointed in 2006, UCLA Anderson has continually done worse in the US News Rankings and according to the Financial Times fewer and fewer UCLA Anderson alumni are recommending their own school.

Could you tell us more about yout background and elaborate about what didn't work out (or how the reality was different from your initial impression).

That would be really helpful.

Well, I did attend UCLA Anderson and I happened to have a pretty good experience.

It looks like the poster had a pretty bad experience at UCLA Anderson. Guess what? Some people will have horrible experience at business school regardless of where they decide to go.

As for the specious US News rankings Excel chart, if you start the plot from 2007, it's going to look like the ranking is going higher and if you start the plot from 2002, it's going to look like the ranking is stabilizing around 14.
