per hour and 45 miles per hour. John traveled from City A to City B along the same
route in 2 hours, and his speed was between 45 miles per hour and 60 miles per hour.
Which of the following could be the distance, in miles, from City A to City B?
A. 95 B. 115 C. 125 D. 160 E. 180

did not get it. speed between means...?

did not get it. speed between means...?

Meaning their speeds are somewhere between those two speeds.

A = 4 hrs @ 25mph - 45 mph
J = 2 hrs @ 45mph - 60 mph

Therefore, the distance for each is
A = 100mi - 180mi
J = 90mi - 120mi

Since they both traveled the same route, they must have common distances which ranges from

100mi - 120mi, therefore

I like B. 115

Ok so this question..in 2 seconds i immediatly cancelled out ans choice D & E..

180/2=90 160/2=80mph..which the second guy never travelled at..

its between 95 and 115..115/2~57 115/4~30 --->good OK
