A) a condition when it is present and indicate that there is one

E) the presence of a condition when it is there and indicate its presence

C

I got the question wrong. I narrowed down the answer choices to A and C but went with A. I thought that one refers to condition and it in the final clause refers to the one.

The explanation given in the book states that in option A there is one leaves it in the final clause without a referent.

Can anyone provide little more explanation?

Thanks

Option (A) has pronoun confusion and "there is" almost always wrong in gmat.

C

B and D are incorrect as a medical test detects the presence of a condition and not when a condition is present as refelcted by B and D.
I feel that option A does not explicitely state what "one" refers to.
Between C and E, the answer should be C, as C is more concise. E may also have some grammatical flaws which I cannot recognize though .

Nice question.

Between C and E, fell for E. What's the official explanation?
