Hi, please evaluate my profile. I have 2 years of work experience in Investment Banking (Middle office) in one of the top investment banks globally, and have been a part of a few closed deals. I’m a chemical engineer and graduated from on of the top Indian university. I’ve published a paper in my college days. I am yet to write GMAT (will do probably by next month) but hoping to score 730+. My college CGPA is 8.6/10 and my grades in 12th and 10th are 94% and 92% respectively. I’m a trained dancer (will get my final year degree this June). Apart from this I’ve been active in sports, arts, dramatic in school and college.

Hi, sounds like you have a good profile, but I am missing so many details. for example: where do you work (local or international company, tier1 or no-tier brand) what % were you in class, have you worked with international clients, do you volunteer, are you a male or female :)
I suggest you concentrate on the GMAT for now, and once you complete it, send me your details to Shimriw@ARINGO.com and I can help you with a profile review and school chances assessment, deal?

Which college to target for profile:
Gmat: 730
GPA: 3 out of 4 (Computer Engineering: on of the top Indian univ)
Experience: 3 yr (GRowth + Marketing)
Social Entrepreneurship Experience: 3 yrs (Co-founder - Making cattle farms sustainable INdia)

Hi, it depends a bit more on where you work, what your achievements have been and 1- other parameters. most important it depends on which schools you want to target! But I would say you can target any EU school and any US 10-25 ranked school based on the basic info you gave me...

Please send me your CV, GMAT score and slipt, the school wish list and any additional information to ShimriW@ARINGO.com and we can take it from there
We’ve won the Real Innovation Awards by London Business School and have been appreciated for our efforts in various national & a few international news channels. I have worked in OYO & in Meesho, both Indian startups.

Which "top 15" colleges to target to get a maximum scholarship (Keeping in mind a 3yr+ successful social entrepreneurship experience)
ALL top MBA programs have a range of scholarships...
So my answer is: the business school that wants you "the most", will offer you the highest scholarship.
Now, why would a school "want you"? because your GMAT is high, or you come from a diverse background, or you bring something to the table which is unique or .....

Do Schulin or Rotman school of business provide scholarship based on gmat score and what is the ideal gmat score for scholarship in these collegees for a 3 year work ex candidate

Schulich, Rotman and most other business schools provide merit-based scholarships. Merit can be a lot of things. a high GMAT is one. but also, coming from a diverse background is another...

As I said above
1. ALL top MBA programs have merit-based scholarships
2. how to read about this? in each business school website, they will elaborate on scholarships
3. How to get one? write a kick-ass application, score high on your GMAT, have an excellent professional, academic and extra-curricular life

Thanks Shimri for the help. Will definitely reach out to you separately post this session. However, do you have any insights on whether it’s a risk applying to European schools if they aren’t LBS or INSEAD - asking because I have heard a lot of horror stories of Indian candidates ending up finding a job in India due to local language requirements which can’t be achieved in 1 year or even 2 year of program vs local European candidates.

Thanks so much for evaluating.

I work with International top teir company,. My all clients are US based. I was 3rd /4th in college in my branch (top in girls though). Adding to my initial profile - I’ve minor degree in Finance, and have completed CFA level 1. I’ve volunteered for many NGOs and have been associated with one since past 2 years. I also lead CSR activities of my department currently.
Thanks for sharing your details. Sure thing, will definitely contact you once I’m done with GMAT, but just curious to know if I stand a chance this year in top 10 US colleges (Given just 2 years of work exp)

Hi Shimri, Thanks a lot for the help. Will definitely reach out to you post this chat session. Do you have any insights on whether it is risky enough to go for European schools outside LBS and INSEAD - asking because have heard horror stories of Indian candidates ending up with a job back in India because of local language constraints imposed - especially by Consulting job recruiters - Clearly can’t gain proficiency in the local language in 1-1.5 years of the program - is this actually that serious?

The schools provide detailed stats on their programs and students. if I remember correctly, Emory was the number 1 MBA program fro job placement (something like 97%)
If you have taken your GMAT already, send me your details to shimri@ARINGO.com and I can try and help further

I think LBS, INSEAD, HEC, IESE, Oxford and Cambridge are safer bets... and even Imperial College / Cass for applicants with lower GMATs / less impressive work experience

I have heard 1-2 stories this year from HEC, but it was a COVID horrible year...
